But as of the moment, the US is consuming about 15.2 million bbls of crude/day. 5.7 million is produced domestically. The "field" in your link was milked for an additional approx. 500 bbls/day. ANWAR may produce as much as 800K bbls/day at its peak so you can see it is only a drop in the bucket. Any wonder why Bush et al covet the Iraqi oil fields??? eia.doe.gov
