I'm not an absolute egalitarian as far as results go, only opportunity. I'm utterly egalitarian, which is not the same thing as thinking it appropriate for government to take from those who have and give to those who have not, only that I don't like stratified societies and snobs and I don't think anyone is inherently anyone else's better or inferior. Interesting and decent people can be found anywhere (even SI) and I generally ignore social station when I interact with people. I might defer to the President or the Queen or the Pope and look past a ranting, schizophrenic street person, but that's about it. It seems strangely quiet here, although this could be because I've left the moron filters up... It's not you. Or the filters. It's quiet. I, for one, find I don't have much to say anymore. But I was fascinated by the subject you posted. I just adore taxonomies or all sorts. So thanks for posting it.
