I wonder whether $20K to these guys is anything more than lip service. Probably about what they receive as a director's stipend.

More concerned about day-to-day management's holdings. Jo S. Major, V.P., sold 13.5K shares @ $3 and now owns only a 2.5k. Fred Leonberger, Chief Technical Officer, exercises options only to sell them immediately. Other officers seem to have only several thousand shares. Not sn overly bullish indicator. The directors who are buying might be either speculating or just covering their a**es.

Thanks so much for replying and I apologize I haven't acknowledged that sooner, but I've been away for a bit. I hope for a retracement in January or Feb, because I still would like, if on nothing more than a whim, to carry a few thousand shares of JDSU for a decade or two and see what happens.
