re:"If your home needs protecting we can call the police....." So you don't have a right to protect yourself from crime, it is a social service provided by government. If you call the police and they get there too late, can you sue them?

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Except that it is true that you can go to the supermarket to buy your meat. I gather that you believe that would allow the government to ban your getting meat from any other source, because it's available at the supermarket. Who's trampling civil liberties here? Moreover, you're willing to turn over your personal and national safety to others, while the vast majority of Americans are not. The 9th Circuit in San Francisco has long been out of touch with any reality other than its own, and this is no exception.

You can go to the supermarket to buy your meat.... No reason to forbid my going out and hunting for game - which is BY FAR superior to the trapped, caged, diseased, hormone and antibotic pumped, fecal bathed plastic folks be calling meat at the grocers. That's what you get when you allow government to control stuff that you should control yourself. and in the event our nation needs protecting we call out the Army..... That's because in the event our nation needs protecting, WE ARE THE DANG ARMY. If your home needs protecting we can call the police..... False. The police don't be protecting a dang thing. Protection is up to YOU. That is why you get locks and security systems and GUNS and BULLETS. The police are activated generally when someone has already broken a law. The problem is, you can be dead by then.
