the early '70s when California started going to Hell I remember that time. Our governor then, Tom McCall, wanted to put a sign on I-5 at the California border reading, "Welcome ot Oregon, Enjoy Your Visit But Don't Stay." He later said he was kidding, but I'm not so sure.
