I only like eating turkey that has been confined to a little wooden box and force-fed grains and steroids.

BTW: Those turkeys are more intellectually capable than American liberals, who have been confined to little concrete boxes, and force-fed teacher's union propaganda and environmental whacko-ism...

We usually get a few turkeys each year, typically during the spring. But every now and then we get one on Thanksgiving morning and have it for Thanksgiving dinner. Else, we have goose. Wild turkey is wonderful if handled properly. I tend to dress and cool game right in the field the minute I get it in hand. I do this for all game, from fish to moose. I think it makes a great difference in the quality of the meat once it gets to table. So when I get a turkey or goose, I'm pretty busy for a while. (grin)
