What kind of logic is that? It isn't the fault of the multinationals, it is a fault of the local government. Capitalism is the greatest economic system that has ever existed. The profit motive is what builds great companies and supplies great jobs, to those who are willing to work hard. Arab dictatorships, who allow their people to be indoctrinated more in the Koran, and less in the arts and sciences, are to blame for the mess that their countries are in. They are not competitive, except for oil and camel dung. << An illegal immigrant, on being exposed and ordered to go home once said, "I will be back soon and so will many of my buddies as long as you guys pay us very poorly in our home countries." >> What a crock! No one has to work for an American company, overseas. No one forces them. They could get a "great" job with a local company in their own homeland. Why is it up to America to provide high paying jobs for everyone, in every country? << The West is damned if it helps them. It will also be damned if it does not help them! >> Hmmmmm!? I guess there is my answer! <g> << See the folly of exploiting the have-nots! In a sense the West is asking for it! >> All the home countries have to do is improve their economies through education, democracy, freedom of the press, and a workable economic system. For instance, look at the difference between North and South Korea.
