1945 is a year I have arbitrarily chose.

I speak out of fairness to the people who resided in Palestine at the time. That would include Jews, Christians, Moslems and other.

"Why should 1945 be any different from past practices through out history."

Why would we push the Serbs out of Bosnia and Iraq out of Kuwait? They both have historical claims to the land they were trying to re-claim?

That would be an inconsistency, wouldn't it?
