Of course most of the weapons America uses are 'conventional' (many use depleted uranium now) but you are joking about not being able to blow up the world. Even with arms reduction America (and Russia) still have the capability to reduce every major city in the world to rubble. Of course this is not going to happen it is merely a testament as to the power of the weapons.
