Actually, as I recall, Velo called the bottom pretty accurately in October.

Since he's more specific to his subscribers than to the public at large, non-subscribers may have been left with an impression that he missed it.

Lizzie, I recently started reading MITA and couldn't resist responding to you.....If there is a self-proclaimed "guru" who successfully was short until Oct (or even July, I went long in July and did well with it since underlying strength picked up then), and then went with a strong long call....

Although I'm surely far from a "guru" and definitely not a "self-proclaimed Guru", my timing model did pretty good during that time period so I thought I'd respond to your post with my calls of the last few months:

Went to 110% long July 22nd at qqq of $23.85: 20th:http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=17767520

Went to all cash Aug 26th at $25.35:

Message 17914558

Went to 100% long Sept 20th at $21.80:

Message 18020080

Went to 100% cash on Nov 6th at qqq of $26.35:

Message 18199244

Went to 25% short Dec 2nd at qqq of $28.49:

Message 18287297

And today's qqq close was $25.22.

Not too bad, but of course, now that I've given myself a pat on the back I'm sure the market will teach me another lesson!

Tom
