Listened to GWB carry on about the new SEC dude... whatever... blowing sunshine up the investing publics arse and just a token piece of crap. All talk regards confidence in the market and institutions .. whatever. Until securitisation and off balance sheet derivatives and other "interesting" financing structures see the light of day then nuthin's gonna change and "surprises" will be found in balance sheets for years to come. BANKS HAVE WHOLE DEPARTMENTS DEDICATED TO DOING EXACTLY THESE DEALS. This posturing by GWB is all nice window dressing and we will see a few token fines to institutions that will be the same as a smack on the wrist to a 3 year old .... but its the same slow horse... just a different jockey trying to make it go fast! And believe me Jockeys cant make horses run faster!
