Seeing that beaver lodge surrounded by ice reminded me of my old river days.

Wonderful pics, Croc, that camera is fantastic!
Not to imply that immense talent and creative genius aren't involved in shot selection and pressing the button, of course.

We only have dust devils down here.

That shot of beaver damage would keep me out of the woods unless I had an armed escort.

As for the Christmas Spirit....two nights ago I dreamed that all the pipes, which were hanging out of the ceilings for unknown reasons, burst all over the house and as I ran around wondering where the main was, I kept finding pieces of Myers' tail, and then a foot and pools of blood everywhere. Then Myers ran by, but except for having only three feet and no tail, he seemed fine. I YELLED at him for bleeding on the carpets, and woke up feeling very guilty.
I think this probably is an indicator of how I am viewing the holidays at the moment.

Great pics.

The portage one reminds me of the Berry Lake miler. A story for another time -- it's bedtime now.

Cool pics, Croc. I think they put me in the mood for a chili festival more than a festive Christmas, though ... :)
