zonder,

I just want to clarify for you.

"We try to be civil towards others here, although the issues are very emotional to some. I congratulate FaultLine for his attention to that. Calling a whole nation "animals" and say you feel like killing them is not exactly the kind of intellectual discussion we like to see in the FADG. Just be careful in the future."

This is not what I was saying. I do accept full responsibility for not being clear.

Also I was talking about a segment of the Arab population, as you can see from the use of "this" and not "the" in the following statement.

"It is very sad that this Arab population is so ignorant"

In keeping with animal metaphors, I don't want to keep beating this dead horse.

I am sometimes insensitive to some of the culture differences, so your points regarding the Arab emotional mindset are noted. Still dogs smile (maybe) and people dance when they are happy. I have to assume that these people were in fact pleased by the destruction and loss of life on 9/11.

This animal comment was not really flippant, although it appears as such. But, I am going to stop now with this theme and maybe save it for another day. I also may just shelve it forever and find a more effective way to express myself -g-

Thanks for your comments.

TH

they were content then, because they saw it as the first time they ever hurt back America for the way America hurts Muslims around the world.

Just how exactly has America been hurting Muslims around the world?

As one who does not understand the following statement, I'm hoping you can clarify it for me because honestly, I didn't realize that Americans were/are "hurting Muslims around the world."

dancing in the streets is just the way they act whenever they are content with something - they were content then, because they saw it as the first time they ever hurt back America for the way America hurts Muslims around the world.
