news this morning showed a car explode while a woman was filling the gas tank in a service station.. I think they said at Lackland? air force base in tx. static electricity was determine to be the cause.. She was severely burnt, it looked like she may not recovered.. Folks do not have enough respect or fear of gasoline... imo.
If you are filling a gas tank for a lawn mower etc. try to make sure the nozzle has full contact with the tank.. same in a car.
no contact can cause a charge to leap from the nozzle to the tank causing an explosion.
