goep - Apparently EVI is a privately held company. I went to their site and called their toll-free number but was only able to reach a machine whereupon I was put on hold.
I wanted to find out how big they are. They seem to be a
well financed active producer of EV's.
Do you or anyone else here know anything specific about the company? Thanks.

Great news! Thanks for posting. If this inner-city application works well for EVI and VLNC, it will be a huge market competing with natural gas-powered engines, not only in US but also major, congested cities abroad: Japan, Europe, Asia, China, etc. where public transport is common.

US oil companies are positioning themselves for this market: hydrogen, natural gas, battery, fuel cells, etc. Battery power helps with emissions too. Cities can reduce emissions (particulates, NOx, etc.) from their diesel powered vehicles.

Good move because a direct deal with the vehicle manufacturer could potentially reduces the cycle time - time to market, instead of going through a consortium like USABC.

If people have not already realized, recent PO announcements and N-Charge sales support VLNC's position in the intellectual property area, viz.: Saphion technology. No law suits yet! Ram
