If Tim had been a Vietnam Vet suffering from PTSD and in the middle of a particularly difficult bout would you have more sympathy?

It is evident you have never been in combat or any life threatening situation since your mother threatened you with a belt! I was an armed guard for two years a long time ago. We were trained to shoot to kill if necessary. Our sergeant, who also did a tour in Vietnam, was one of the toughest guys I ever met. He would yell and scream at us like we were Marines.... There were times I had to take my gun out of it's holster in very scary situations, but luckily, I never had to fire my gun at a human target. I hit more than a few "bullseyes" at the range though. Also was jumped by six guys once and beat over the head with sticks.... Still have a "dent" on the side of my head. Been in plenty of life threatening situations, and almost died five or six times, so every day or hour I have left now here is a bonus for me.... Things that at first "glance" may seem obvious to you, are not in my case.
