How would you know........you didn't think Hitler was a far right conservative until I posted something to that effect.

I knew he was considered to be that, but both then and now the idea is inaccurate.

My God, such arrogance.....academia and the world in general determined long ago that Hitler was a rightwinger but still you know better.

What? You had personal discussions with him re his politics.

And just for the record, if you knew back when this issue was first discussed that he was considered on the right, you made a pretty impressive effort feigning ignorance of such a suggestion.

Only over time did he begin to take strong measures, to restrict freedoms and become aggressive towards other countries.

There is no comparison between anything Bush has done and Hitler's actions and statements.

Then why so many making such a comparison? People are just trying to be mean?

But the one thing where Bush and Hitler are consistent.....they both used fear and its us vs them to get what they wanted.

Very much like the Democratic party. "Mediscare" comes to mind but its hardly the only case. The difference with Hitler was the fear wasn't just "support me or the other guy will do horrible things", it was also "support me or die".

I'm sorry.....the conservatives' fear of having more of their paycheck go towards gov't taxes is not the same fear that I'm suggesting Bush is using to his advantage. Its not the difference between being rich and very rich; its the difference between living and dying.
