But that optimism is predicated on no return of major terrorist activity ~ no renewal of serious racial, social, religious, and political divisions ~ no oil shocks ~ business's leaders willingness to invest ~ plus a move from "Hunker-down" to a positive investor psyche. You said it yourself, optimism, and I submit to you that being optimistic may turn to grave disappointment, we must be realistic... American investors, Rockerfeller et al., found the oil in the Middle East, showed the locals how to drill, refine, and distribute that oil... trusting that an Islamic region would express gratitude was a big mistake on our part, they don't want the West to have a foothold there, this explains what Bin Laden was saying about us, this is their entire problem with Israel, that it's not Islamic... the crisis is more than just a brief situation, this conflict will have to grow to a head in a much bigger way... the West needs to tighten it's belt and extinguish the Islamic extremist push against the Western world... the war, and yes it is a war, has already begun, they fired the first shot on September 11, 2001... this means we may need to curb our growth, corporate as well, to some extent while this process works its way through to the end... the Islamic world is still fighting the Christian Crusade of ancient yore... here's a link to an excellent series of articles well worth your review... westerndefense.org GZ
