Even if it was just a boneheaded comment out of affection for Strom, he's given the Dems something to whine about. If nothing else, boneheadedness should disqualify him from the post.

so are you saying that being pro-segregation is racist? well then i guess nearly the entire israeli cabinet is racist. they voted 17-2 in favor of banning arabs from owning homes on israeli govt land. (the govt owns approx 85% of the land in israel). arabs and jews are segregated in housing and in schools. arabs can't serve in the military. israel is far more segregationist than the united states ever was.

of course jews don't hold themselves to the same standard for which they hold everyone else. all the unabashed, militantly pro-israel members of congress must be pro-segregation as well. instead of imposing sanctions on israel like was done with south african apartheid, jewish apartheid is rewarded with the largest dole of foreign aid, courtesy of the US taxpayer.
