The garage isn't that heated, I don't have a furnace out there. It is attached and insulated so it stays about 30 degrees warmer than outside during the winter.

Leather can tend to feel cold so the heater is nice. The best part is its not just the seat but the back also. When I have a stiff back I can adjust the lumbar support, click on the heat and go for a drive. Usually it helps.

Tim, it would never have occurred to me to order heated seats for my car as an option. How frivolous! But they came on the car and sooner or later I tried them and...wow. My car warms pretty quickly, but when your home is only a couple of blocks from stop and go rush hour traffic, it doesn't get warm quickly enough. Those seats are a blessing. I use them now when I scrape the frost off my windshield early in the morning and head for the pool, which is only a mile away. Don't even bother turning on the heat in the car. Or wearing a coat. The seats are all I need. Those seats turned out to be great serendipity. Don't dismiss them too easily.
