as far as retail goes, I am referring to WMT saying that their sales are tracking at the low end of estimates. I think we can assume that the stores/malls will be busy, but are people buying as much stuff?

auggie, i'm withholding judgement until i hear the sales numbers.

there are a whole lot loss leaders enticing large crowds...

if they're all buying $15 cameras like one woman interviewed (she pulled out the stops and bot 2 <gg>), i wouldn't be to bullish on retail
