OT - Thanks again for clarifying. But I still do not understand why you want to compete in the crowded 6-18 month time horizon arena when you are already so successful competing in the suddenly less crowded day trading arena. I have met very few people who could do both successfully. But maybe you are an exception. If you want a simple 6 month rule, it would be: long tech Oct 1 - Mar 30; short tech Apr 1 - Sept 30. You can backtest it to your heart's content in bull markets, bear markets, and nontrending markets. Naturally, as soon as you put real money on it, it will fail. <g> Sam
