Thanks RN. Just hope Lee J has been kicking right along during his offtime.
But i am sure Eagles had him in to see if he is "at can perform" level.
I actually feel bad about the Baker types, i see them come and go, regardless of how well they kicked in College.
It is either nerves or that the pro rush is perhaps 0.5/0.3 seconds faster and then can't kick in the shortened time span.
I was reading the latest figures on the time a QB is expected to have to freely throw his pass--just 2.5seconds. At 3.0 seconds he should have people in his face and throw under intense pressure and at 3.5 seconds, if he hasn't thrown he should be flat on his back.
A performance by the defense less than that is less than acceptable.
So college QBs have to throw faster to receivers much closely guarded.
The point being, i think teams like the Carolina Cougars and Chicago Bears have been taking note of AJFeeley as a "starting QB". Carolina Cougars are desperate for a QB.(Rodney Peete is NOT the future:)
But Eagles can accept nothing less than a First round pick in return.
And yes, as always , iam already thinking to next season and how Eagles can get even better.
If Hollis Thomas and Buckhalter come back healthy they have no need look for a defensive lineman or a running back in first two rounnds.
The secondary is loaded, and i remember was very pleased with Reid's loading with pass defenders while the pundits were rating the Eagles draft as stupid and giving a C- or D grade for their picking; and, in view of injuries, it has proven to be a brilliant move. As JB says, that Michael Lewis looks terrific.
So they can focus on getting depth to th offensive line and try to get "that killer" receiver. Max p.s. loved when announcers said that.
Eagles probably made out better in Trotter deal, suggesting Sean Barber is better.
And gees we now have Brian Mitchell,Barber,Akers,Kalu and Thrash, all giveaways from the skins:) Max
