By the way, the idea that the Arabs were creating more mayhem seems somewhat at odds with your earlier contention that the Colonial Office preferred dealing with the Arabs because they were less demanding and more easily managed. Not really. Those pesky Zionists were building a state and kept wanted the Colonial Office to do stuff, like take an active stance against Arab marauding. The Arabs just needed to be appeased so they didn't blow up. Different kettle of fish entirely -g-
