zonder...Perhaps Europeans don't understand Americans ARE STILL grieving....not only for all the thousands of people killed on 9--11, and for their families.

BUT we as a Nation, are also grieving the "loss of our innocence" and the belief that so many Amerians have~~We have helped so many millions of people throughout the world, and now to find that not only are we vunerable, but that some we thought to be friends are seemingly only willing to take our "treasure" and not stand by America's side in times of peril, is doubly shocking.

Here, I am not saying that the grief and compassion went away. I am saying the "solidarity", the willingness to stand by America's side to fight has gone away. Please note the difference between the two. Your reaction tells me you misunderstood my statement as Europeans are not still sorry for the people who died on 9/11.
