How do you get to Bush unbeatable in 2004? It is so far off and if he doesn't get some social programs passed I think he will be challenged... He needs to something on drugs for elderly... Also should rethink tax cuts for higher income,, still may go through with them but maybe give some additional cuts to lower, middle income tax payers. this is where the votes are... not in high income.. No matter what happens with Lott those votes are probably gone anyway... so Bush needs independent voters, woman.. etc in 2004.... If economy not turned around and some new or improved programs are not there for middle class voters he could be in trouble... Kerry to announce his plans for social health system in U.S. not like the Canada one... If it makes sense then Bush and Kerry will have the debate on a run for 2004.
It should be interesting year .

In 1990, Bush Sr was also considered unbeatable in 1992. His approval rate was over 90% but an ugly recession proved his undoing.
