I love that, Po. I love the seriousness of the humor, or maybe it's the humor in the seriousness, or literalness. It's witty and physical and vivid. Good job, girl!

Nice job. I can imagine being a kid wrapped with the fantasies of setting like that.

I love that.
It's made to be read aloud, which is very fitting to the imagery. Really easy to visualise, it paint a fine mind-picture.
Thank you for treating us :)

Under Minks

Thanks for the free trip back in time to my grandmother's
house in Queens, NY December 24, 1972.

You drew a nice picture of words.

I think I am right. This is a throwback, a link to the mystical history of children burrowing under the furs while their warrior fathers sat around the fire discussing their hunt and their miracle-working mothers kept it together in camp. Those people, the survivors, lent their substance to the fathers and mothers pulling up outside in their Mercedes. Only now the survival urge is hidden by baritone hellos and gifts of wine. But it does not lie deep.

I just saw this

what a lovely poem

congratulations!

I remember doing that very same thing, and running my fingertips over the fascinatingly pretty fancy monograms

fresh coats on the pile felt, hmmmm, cool, like winter - and held their chill for a while

it brings it all back

the sign of a very good poem

smiles woman
