Not to mention the more skillful undertones; like the evocative nouns used to terminate most lines at the start and end, skins - rocks - rain - flames subliminally conjuring the primitive appeal of huddling in secure warmth by the implicit emphasis: or the longer, more sensuous consonants in the mid-period, pile - cashmere - paisley silks - parachute - chestnut minks - and so forth, to verbally reproduce the slinking, burrowing into the clothes (and perhaps capture the animal feel of the actions, also in the sibilance)... Very very well-thought. I hate to think how much effort it must have taken to get the balance right. Worth it, IMO - of course, I'm biassed as it wasn't my effort :)
