I didn't claim it was "gang" activity. I was asking a rhetorical question. As you know, my position has always been claims of "gang" activity are ludicrous whether they are made by the pervert, XXX, MD or anyone else. I did see the posts with you as rather hypocritical in light of some comments MD made on another thread with which I am sure you are quite familiar. Now, as for Poet's remarks, I have already stated I could see how they could be interpreted as offensive and taken that way by soemone of Irish heritage. So I do not believe we are in disagreement on the point. JLA

If acknowledging that the Irish have a history of struggles with alcohol and a propensity toward alcoholism is considered a slur by you, then so be it, Bill. However, I will not allow you, or anyone else, to twist the circumstances of the discussion (originally about Trent Lott's segregationist comments) into an opportunity for personal insults, which is precisely what you and your "friend" did. What you did yesterday was beneath you, frankly. You disappointed me every bit as much as you claim I offended you.
