Remember that White Boxes never get listed in these brand name listings when it comes to desktops. Currently they make up about 50% of the total PC desktop marketplace. I would therefore divide all the desktop figures by 2.

I also think there is likely an error, as I don't see Dell anywhere on the list, and I highly doubt they failed to capture at least 5% of the branded market during that period).

As for laptops, generic brands make up a much smaller percentage of the total laptop market, but have never seen a figure that puts a number to it.
