I'm not sure whether to respond or how to frame such a response. Let me just say, in my view, it's the equivalent of the NRO, Weekly Standard, etc. on the right; magazines which, on occassion, have interesting pieces with some depth, but more often offer you a political point of view on whichever issue is prominent.

As for financial contributors, I think Paul Newman is the largest contributor to The Nation; certainly is the most prominent spokesperson in ads. He's certainly a leftie but hardly fits your ugly stereotype.

I could, I suspect, match Bill's NRO and Weekly Standard posts, almost post for post with stuff from The Nation and The Progessive. But what's the sense. Same ol same ol.
