Or a formal speech given to a roomful of like-minded individuals (like the KKK). Public or private? I think it would have elements of both types of speech. Profanity is an aspect of speech I was thinking of earlier. My own speech can be very coarse when joking around with my buddies, but for the most part I don't swear in front of ladies and children and when I might it is very light weight. Privacy is a very individualized thing. Someone you meet on a plane may tell you their life story and others take years to get to know. * * *
