That's right. In his zeal to criticize the ACLU (an instinct with which I have no disagreement), he didn't bother to get the facts of this case. Fussing that the ACLU wants to give the internet to convicts plays well with his audience, though.

I'm sure I mentioned here that I went full time with Fox news when they first appeared on my cable so that I could get a sense of how it was different from other news. I enjoyed Reilly the first few shows, partly because he had issues that resonated with me and in part because his tone had not yet had a chance to grate on me. Now, the sound of his voice causes me to react much like fingernails on the chalkboard. Even when I agree with him.

It's a hobby horse of mine that newscasters have a responsibility to get their stories straight. You wouldn't think that would be too much to ask.
