To be fair we've always been hated somewhere, usually manywhere. Just being a world power, with the voracious appetite of a world power, makes us the target of a certain amount of hate simply based on envy. I think we had a high point in American prestige when the Berlin wall came down. but aside from that....

Another lie. Bush rallied the world to pass the UN resolution demanding Saddam prove he has disarmed.

America's prestige is almost gone around the world under Bush.
