I heard Bill Kristol talk at the Kennedy School about a month ago. He took a show of hands on the War in Iraq. The result was about two-thirds against, one-third for.

Just on the face of it, that strikes me as more telling than Gelb's numbers. Though, second thoughts after typing that sentence, the expectations on the numbers cut opposite ways. One would expect folk who show up to hear Bill Kristol talk to be more likely to be hawks; but then it was Cambridge.
