Sergio,

SOSA gave a little kick today. Glad I bought last week. If they get their house in order they could do very well. I also have my eye on one of my old favorite biotechs, ALT. They are actually in phase II trials but if they work I have to think someone buys them out. They just sold some more shares to raise cash. Everything I have read about their studies seem to indicate their drugs work. An interesting story.

VASO I hope we will see some movement once the tax loss selling ends in another week.

Joe

Briar Patch Stock Market Letter

Action Alert

2:04 pm CST

December, 13 2002

We have bought 2,000 ATP Oil & Gas (ATPG) $4.15 - This is 2.6% of our portfolio.
Our initial price goal is $5.00 per share.

This is one of the companies that presented last week at the Louisiana Energy Conference. It is unique in that do no exploration for oil and gas, limiting their activity to development wells on already proven fields. It is a good value here and the chart looks like it can more to $5 without a lot of trouble. At this time we are not going to put a stop on the stock.

The average daily volume is 23,000 shares and it is a bit light today so we would suggest using limit orders and being patient.

Sheesh, now even the newsletters are starting to pump this turkey!

"The 1965 Shelby Cobra hydrogen internal combustion world land speed record contender utilizes QUANTUM's ultra-lightweight hydrogen storage and hydrogen fuel injection system."

"QUANTUM Advanced Fuel System Gains speed at Michelin Challenge
(11/2/2001)

November 1, 2001–-QUANTUM Technologies was center stage at the Michelin Challenge Bibendum, at the California Speedway, with reports that four competition vehicles were equipped with QUANTUM’s advanced fuel system technologies.

The Ford/NRG Tech F150, powered by a blend of hydrogen and natural gas, incorporates QUANTUM's advanced hydrogen storage system and will be put into fleet service by Pinnacle West following the Bibendum. The 1965 Shelby Cobra hydrogen internal combustion world land speed record contender utilizes QUANTUM's ultra-lightweight hydrogen storage and hydrogen fuel injection system. GM's Chevrolet Cavalier CNG/gasoline bi-fuel vehicle incorporates a complete natural gas fuel system developed by QUANTUM and is in mass production in North America. The Hyundai Santa Fe fuel cell SUV, which utilizes an IFC fuel cell stack, incorporates QUANTUM's advanced hydrogen storage system and hydrogen fuel delivery system.

The 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe received the highest grade for emissions and noise reduction, the Ford/NRG Tech pick-up truck received the highest grade for emissions and range, and the Cobra received the highest grade for acceleration and braking. The GM Chevrolet Cavalier bi-fuel has been in production for many years and represents GM's early contribution to the commercialization of low-emission alternative fuel vehicles.

"The breadth of QUANTUM's fuel system technologies is represented by the diverse types of alternative fuel vehicles at the Bibendum that incorporate QUANTUM's fuel storage, metering, electronic controls and system integration capabilities", said Syed Hussain, QUANTUM's President and CEO. "QUANTUM is proud that its technology was so evident at the Bibendum. This tremendous event showcases clean vehicle technology and the pioneering and championing of alternative fuel technologies in an effort to reduce vehicle emissions and seek alternative energy sources."
