I lack the information (and the education) to judge

zonder, if there was any argument, not matter how wild, that could have stopped GM food in the US, our loonies would have done it. They hate anything that smacks of progress. We have millions of people in this world that are sick and dying of Malaria every year because these jerks stopped DDT. They stopped irradiation of food. The fight anything that they can find that helps people live longer and better.

What is this about obesity being a hormone disorder, then?

I don't know.. you tell me...

I would think any such claim would not stand the test of objective science...

However, there are certain groups of people who are genetically pre-disposed to obesity, (eg: Pima Indians and other native americans).. Like human Cacti, they soak up available extra calories and store them for lean times... It's a genetic survival trait that has little use in modern times.

I personally believe it's attestable to a general lack of exercize and the calorie laden food we all like to eat (MickyDs, BK.. Wendys.. Pizza.. etc).. Personally, I cutting way back on sugar, and eating more protein and meat (quasi Adkins Diet), but I still get in a binge mode once in awhile...

Like tonight when I decided to make Italian Sausage, Pepper, and Onion sandwiches, one of my favorite comfort foods...

And the fact that our diets in past years were even more fat laden, but we worked harder and had less to eat, tend to substantiate the hypothesis.
