BEARX is up about 60% for this year, and is not only short but also in gold. The only funds that have done better have been a few purely gold funds. Of course my timing could have been better, but being up 150% (via puts and energy investments) from 2-3 years ago sure beats being down 40% or more. I may not sell PAAS tomorrow after all, but I am certainly impressed with what digital imaging technology now does. And it can spread rapidly even in China. I lost an enormous amount of money on silver, starting in about 1987. I am beginning to think maybe even Buffet and Fleckenstein may be wrong on this one. But I am not being hurt much this time--in fact, am well ahead on PAAS, CDE.
