So why are we seen as villains?

WHO sees us as villains, other than the damned liberals?

Certainly not the liberated people of Afghanistan!

Alighieri Re...So why are we seen as villains?

Advertising. And a big clash in cultures, as I believe you, yourself posted awhile back. No one wants to see a way of life change, especially the entrenched powers, in the societies that must change. It is easy to blame the rich for all of their problems, and the US is considered the richest. I know this may come as a shock to you, but a lot of liberals blame the rich for being rich, because they feel that there is no way the rich got there honestly, they are rich only because the rich exploited the poor; and without the rich, the poor would be better off. Wrong. Without the rich, America would be another Russia. Without the dream of becoming rich ourselves, there would be a lot more depression. And that probably is why the poor don't rebel very often, in the US as opposed to the old monarchies in Europe etc, because by and large, the US has the best system in the world for rewarding not only exploitation, but also hard work.

You seem to have been gone for some time. Welcome back. Your name was bought up yesterday. What do you think of the Murray situation. Was she right to lie to promote her anti war stance?

Al,

We are seen as villains because it is the easiest way to divide and conquer and rally the people.

Hitler did it by using the browns to gain power then his henchmen eliminated the browns. Same thing he did by trying to eliminate the Jews. A rallying point for the masses.

Divide and conquer is the same thing the liberal democrat party is doing by attacking the successful, hardworking minority in this country. Eventually you will look around and there will be few if any successful, hardworking people left. Haven't you noticed the handout crowds are increasing and hating the rich is popular?

Divide and conquer. It's the easiest way to rally the people who need something to feel together about. True liberalism. You end up destroying the world but at least you fell good about doing it.
