North Korea Violates Armistice Agreement Dec 27 The U.N. Command in Seoul has said that North Korea is in violation of the 1953 Korean War Armistice Agreement, after North Korean border guards carried 7.62mm machine guns into the Demilitarized Zone on six different occasions in December. The UNC discovered the arms after investigating complaints by South Korea. North Korea has rejected a proposal by the UNC to hold a meeting to discuss the situation.
