I live in Waikiki. You might accept some superficial views of mine without question, but if you were really interested in the area and people, you might not. And you might find that your opinion, after reading about the area, is more informed than mine. Living there gives you an opinion, but it is still just yours. I tend to listen a lot harder when someone is from there, but I don't consider it "Gospel."

BTW, I notice that you never had specified where you have lived, just general statements that you have lived in the ME.

I would encourage you to do more of this. I haven't noticed you doing this. Although I have noticed Kumar doing so re. Indian Muslims for example.
