I saw that, as did many others who recognize the performance for what it is.

Russert's a good interviewer, but didn't challenge Limbaugh on anything, nor did he intend to. Except if you noticed at the end, after Limbaugh went on about his dad during his highschool years, Tim repeated the line "a monologist who had strong opinions about everything...", and Rush laughed and admitted, "yeah, that describes me!".

Anyone who disagrees with Limbaugh and knows what they're talking about won't be put next to him. That would jeopardize his $30m/year.

As he's said recently, what he does isn't a debate of the issues, it is purely "a performance".

He's the first hate-radio commentator to hit the bigtime, and is entirely devoted to ridicule, innuendo, and outrageous, often humorous distortions of the facts ("relentless persuit of the truth", "advanced conservative studies", etc. LOL!).

He's a good entertainer, but would dissolve in any debate with someone with command of the issues, someone liberal like Ralph Nader would crush him, but your average highschool history teacher would also.

i Why is it that when Rush appears with Russert the rating skyrocket and it is repeated 5 or 6 times?

Why is it that professional wrestling commands the largest audiences consistently?
