Plumbing company: Sounds like a small business. Kerry is making sure small businesses are not punished. Proposing major incentives to hire. Actual small family businesses should be largely protected from estate taxes. And didn't your family know the trick to buy insurance to cover the taxes? It's an easy trick. Also can give away $22,000 per year to heirs and create trusts. The real beneficiaries of estate tax cuts are the very rich and the ones hurt the most the middle-class whose federal programs will be slashed, already causing local and state taxes to go up to compensate. Leaving the kids with a big debt to pay and either higher taxes in the future or massive cuts in entitlements you have already paid for.
