Bob: Hey, there, Mr. NumberCruncher ...

Here's something to occupy your free time.

Since we know there were 7 new contracts in the last quarter, and we know the amount of new license revenue, we should be able to compute the average license fee.

We can also compute the current number of customers by dividing the total maintenance fees by 18% of the average license fee. This would have to be done on an annual basis, though. Not quarterly. Maintenance fees are typically due and payable on the anniversary of the contract.

From that, we can determine ... well, heck. Who knows? Maybe we could use it for projections.

TED

Bob: re: I doubt he had anything in mind at all other than to just send you on a wild goose chase.

I sure hope that's not the case. I hope that he really wanted some input from somebody who speaks the lingo.

I suspect that he was more surprised than I was at the number of competitive Workflow products that are out there. I knew there were some, but the number of products and the depth of their technology has increased quite a bit in the few years that I've been away from daily involvement in competitive situations.

TED

Re:<<"I've made a ton of money on this stock and have faith that I'll make a ton more...>>

Beats the heck out of sitting on the sidelines whining that "the stock is overpriced and you can prove it".

Just took a little profit in the IRA account Friday. About ready for that big downdraft you have promised for the New Year...Wouldn't mind a sharp drop now...Can you deliver? Or is it just more hot air?

Oh, sorry by the way. I keep thinking that the purpose of all this investing stuff is to make money. Thanks for setting us straight.
