. And we had no real strategic interest there in the first place other than to stop a "domino effect" which never happened. Really? What happened after we left Vietnam? Ever heard of Cambodia, Laos? Millions died in those countries and fleeing the nightmare which happened after we pulled out. And you are so ignorant of the facts...you ought to be ashamed of yourself for posting such nonsense...

The "criminals" in Washington kept the American left from bringing about the debacle they so desired against American servicemen in Vietnam. The anti-American "peace movement" wanted passionately to see tens of thousands of the hated GI's killed as they tried to leave the country. You should try to learn from those of us who witnessed it live. The REAL war was fought right here at home, and continues today, three decades later... THAT was the victory they fought in the streets for-and they were finally DENIED by the Nixon administration. Kerry was the least-deserving beneficiary, and he stabbed the government that protected him in the back, and joined the enemy as soon as he could after his return...
