" We've seen the enemy; and it is us."

Like you, I think Saddam will disappear, but what does he really believe? I wonder if Saddam
knows what's going on. I was surprised when he infuriated the Russians by
canceling an agreement over oil exploration. When Saddam canceled the agreement, he gave
the Russians a reason to vote with the UN for an attack on Iraq.

I believe the real danger here could be North Korea. Bush included North Korea in his "Axis of
Evil" State of the Union speech. I don't know what they think about Bush but it couldn't be good.
For instance, Bush insulted the last leader of South Korea who wanted better relations with the north. Bush
infuriated China over the plane issue. Bush will attack Iraq most likely. And many world leaders
call Bush is a "moron" or worse.

It is difficult to believe that the North Koreans will let the US attack them, and after the easy defeat
of the Taliban in Afghanistan, W and his killer dog, Wolfy, most likely believe Iraq will be an easy
target, but Bush-style dictatorship and repression may be the only way he can keep Iraq's citizens
in line with his corporate style. His oil buddies and other big contributors make off with all the money
while Iraqi citizens continue to live in poverty.

Look at Afghanistan. Last I heard poppy production has increased since the Taliban were defeated.
I am glad that the US kicked out the Taliban, but the people who run Afghanistan now may not
be any better than the Taliban. We know the Taliban war lords practice
pedophilia or the sexual abuse of young boys, and they sexually abuse women as well.
