Hi Mephisto, Beyond the rational demonstrations against the Bush's evil schemes on Iraq's oil resources, we have been looking into starting a local campaign to roll back the depredations on democracy that are being perpetrated via the USA Patriot Act, the Homeland Security Act and other anti-democratic legislation: efn.org Lane County is to the west of us, running from the Cascades to the Pacific. Eugene, the county seat, has recently unanimously passed a City Resolution to be non-cooperative with Federal government efforts to enforce provisions of the UPA (USA Patriot Act). -Ray PS: Here's an interesting article on the increasingly contentious coalbed methane controversy that is really heating up in Wyoming and Montana. nytimes.com
