Raiders look like the team to beat.

I dunno if any of the AFC teams come close except for the
Titans perhaps. That is who I'll be gunning for in the AFC
if the Jets or Patriots don't make it into the playoffs.

I like Coach Jeff Fisher. I think he is one of the smarter
coaches in the NFL.

I confess. I think I'm just a Raider Hater. I don't think
I even liked them back when John Madden was their coach.

Besides, it seems like twenty percent of those sissy fans
wear costumes to the game.

It's football. Not the Halloween parade.

<Clappy figures he has now perked up the ears of those
Raider fans around here. Perhaps enough to trick them into
betting a few megabytes on their games.>

Here's some more stuff I've been thinking about while
watching these games.

I'll be savoring each and every minute I get to watch Brett
Favre play today and through the playoffs.

Here is why.

There are only a few players that noticibly play with his
type of fun-of-the-sport attitude. Always seems to be
having fun out there and always has a positive attitude.
Even with the opposing defense trying to bury him. He
jokes with his enemies and eventually gets them to actually
admire him.

The only player that I get to see on a regular basis who
has similar traits is perhaps Tiki Barber, the running back
for the NY Giants. A massive linebacker could plow him
into the dirt and he springs back up or asks the big dude
to help him up with a smile on his face.

And you never really see these type of players taunt or
show off in the endzone.

Anyhow, I heard that Favre has put his home in Greenbay up
for sale. If he wins the Super Bowl this year, the rumor
is that he's heading back to Mississippi to stay. He'll
retire while at the top of his game.

So I think he'll be playing his hardest these next few weeks.
Although his team is not the best one out there he elevates
them to that high level.

They claim that no one has ever beaten Greenbay at home
during the playoffs. With the Eagles losing yesterday, I
think they can lock up home field advantage in the NFC.
If that's so, these may be the last few games we get to see
him play.

I remember savoring those last few games of Joe Montana.
It's like knowing you have to say goodbye to something you
really like and admire. You just try to soak it all in so
you can remember it forever.

<Clappy sits back and thinks to himself...>

Hmmm. I sure do let myself get all caught up in a silly
little game. I'm such a friggin stooge.

Somebody pass me the bowl potato chips...

...and a dose of reality...
