you know where the REAL $$ is, right? Elementary school photos....<g>

Yep, and wedding photos etc.
Well that is the BULK of the $ anyway (for the most).
I have no desire to do that at all.

There is also enormous $ in the ad business but the accounts are next to impossible to get.
I read that the Marboro Account has to come up with about 3-4 pictures total for the entire year (to be used in major ad campaigns) and the guy gets $1M, free use of helecopters and any damn thing else he wants. But how many can get that account? Exactly 1 is the answer.

Hell even National Geographic is skimping. $750-$1000 for a cover. How many of those are there? 12 a year. And how hard is it to get one? Nearly impossible unless you already are working with them.

Country Magazine (I do have several covers for them). A national magazine, pays $300. How can you live on that?

Editorial work pays next to nothing. Some rates have even been going down.

Midwest Living, Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens (Meredith Corp) does pay more, $1200/cover but typically wants all rights for all photos taken on a shoot for them. Refuse to sign that contract, you do not work for Meredith. I have a working arrangement with them and they keep only the photos they use, but at a cheaper day rate. I am happier with that. But they have hundreds of photographers and I only get a couple assignments a year.

After expenses, I barely make anything.

I have tons of images but no time or desire to put more up on the website. Michigan and Wisconsin are my biggest files.
I also have some tremendous images from Salzburg Austria, Germany, New Zeeland, and Ireland.

My real $ came from being a computer consultant. Now I can not find a job to save my life. Been looking for months. Actually I am sick of it and hope to find something related to stocks.
