Given the present dynamics of Israeli politics, moving toward its extremes, much the same can be said there.

If you cannot even understand the present dynamics of Israeli politics (it is not moving to the extremes, it is moving to another unity government), then how can anybody talk to you? Sharon is "extreme" like the Republican Party is "extreme" in this country. Wait a minute, you probably agree with that statement. Nevermind.

John,

Would you accept the idea that Sharon is doing to Arafat and his corrupt Regime the same Bush intends to do with Sadam H.?

By making Arafat Obsolete , you have new voices coming out of the Palestinian camp, many intellectuals are voicing in public the wrongs Arafat did to his people, and the Corruption of all his administration, many are looking for democratic elections and a complete change of attitude,

After 67 and till the intifada in 2000 the Palestinians have reached a standard of living well above most Arab nations, many of them are talking of getting back this standard of living and the hundreds of thousands jobs they lost in Israel to Filipinos workers, they used to get high salaries, they paid social security and benefited from Israeli high standard hospitals, they built good housing, and got roads, electrical power, running water and sewage system etc. the shopquipers had good income with the Israeli customers and tourism.

For the first time they start talking publically about peace, Even more , a few weeks ago I seen on CNN an interwie wit the head of the palestinian Human Rights Group saying more or less the same

Those Intellectuals might be the peace partners, don't underestimate Sharon he is a soldier and know the pain of war, and don't forget that his mentor Begin signed the first peace agreement with Arabs ( Egipth )

Hi JOhn,

You said, "Given the present dynamics of Israeli politics, moving toward its extremes, much the same can be said there."

To which I ask, when was the last time a Jewish kid blew himself up trying to execute his countries policies vis-a-vis the Palestinians.

There is no relativism on who is acting like what.
